Baked Beans Recipe

Baked beans are one of the best-known and most-cooked dishes of Turkish cuisine. Usually, the menu includes rice pilaf alongside baked beans. Baked beans are not only delicious but also rich in protein.

Of course, there are different recipes from region to region, but you can get a very delicious result with this baked bean recipe.

This recipe uses a pressure cooker and the white beans are not boiled in water before cooking. In this way, baked beans can be made in as little as 1 hour. With this recipe, you can make baked beans for 4 people in an average of 1 hour.

  • 1 cup white beans (haricot beans),
  • 1 large onion,
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste,
  • 2 teaspoons chili paste,
  • 300 g cubed meat,
  • 3 tablespoons sunflower oil,
  • 1 tablespoon butter,
  • 2 teaspoons salt,
  • 1 teaspoon paprika,
  • 4 cups hot water.

Step 1: Put the white beans in water to soften the day before; Put the white beans in a bowl and add enough water to cover it by 4-5 fingers, leaving it for a day. Before cooking, drain the beans and wash them thoroughly.

Step 2: Chop the onion into small

Step 4: Put 3 tablespoons sunflower oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a pressure cooker and heat on medium flame,

Step 5: Add the onion and simmer (about 10 minutes),

Step 6: Add 300 g cubed meat and cook until there is no water left in the meat,

Step 7: Add 1 tablespoon tomato paste and 1 teaspoon pepper paste and continue cooking by stirring (about 5 minutes),

Step 8: Add the beans soaked in water for 1 day and stir, heat for 2 minutes,

Step 9: Add 4 cups hot water, salt and pepper and stir,

Step 10: Close the lid of the pressure cooker and cook on very low heat for 40 minutes.
